Backworth Hall is a beautiful mansion house set in scenic wooded grounds. Originally built in approximately 1792 by the Grey family, the Hall has been, and remains a prominent feature of the area.

The Hall stands alone and offers seclusion and privacy for your special occasion. The landscaped grounds offer the perfect setting with features and manicured lawns. Greeting you as you enter the hall is a grand staircase; the hall has several rooms that can accommodate guests for private functions. There are 2 licensed bars within the hall.

We are now licensed to hold wedding ceremonies. These can take place in the ‘The Grey Room’ or ‘The Newton Room’.

Backworth Hall has hosted many weddings so you can rest assured that your special day is in the hands of experienced professionals. Following the retirement of Lorraine Pearson, Backworth Hall has acquired the services of Blue Fox Catering who have extensive knowledge and experience in the hospitality industry. This includes weddings, conferences and may other celebrations and occasions.  Rest assured that they will provide a first class service. Their representative will meet with you to discuss the details of your wedding or occasion and will assist you in the planning of your special day
